At one time, Ivory's cat art was everywhere; like many popularized artists, she seems to have faded from view, but her work remains impressive and much-copied. Originally, this thin hardcover book was seventeen dollars, which is way too much. I found it on clearance for five, and snapped it up. Ivory's beautiful, detailed images are the main draw; the astrological information is vague and incidental. I must also say that knowing the names of the cats she paints takes a bit of the charm out of them... those poor cats...
