Tell Me a Dragon

Fiction, CH Picture Book/Fantasy
Themes: Dragons, Imaginary Friends

Description

Big or small, fierce or friendly, red or green or blue or brown, everyone has a dragon. What kind is yours?

Review

A beautiful, poetic little book, this celebration of the imagination is great for dragon-lovers of all ages. Morris's illustrations bring to life a wide variety of dragons, while inviting the reader to imagine their own. It reads fast, though the images invite lingering... even when you're technically supposed to be working. (I really have to be more careful about reading during down time at work.)

Description

In the jungles of India, a tiger grows from blind cub to proud hunter. Yet always the words of his mother puzzle him - she told him to listen for the silence, for then he shall know that the Lord of the Forest is near. Who is the Lord of the Forest... and what will happen should the tiger ever meet him?

Review

We had another lull at work; this one was at the top of one of the bins. Morris's beautiful watercolor illustrations augment a poetic tale by Caroline Pitcher. A great little read for tiger lovers of all ages.
