You decide to investigate the small bookstore to the side of the library.  As you enter, a deep bell tolls, startling you.  Something thumps to the carpeted floor an aisle away.

"Curse that thing!  I knew I never should've listened to that discount door chime salesman," mutters a voice from behind the nearest shelf. "One moment, please, one moment..." Peering around the edge of the shelf, you see someone - or something - piling books onto a wheeled book cart from the floor.  Momentarily, it - she - straightens.  She appears to be some sort of bipedal dragon, her head not even as high as your shoulders.  Her shimmering, pinhead-sized scales glitter through shades of violet from pale lavender-magenta to deep blue-purple.  A crest of long golden hair runs from her scalp to a plume on her tailtip, and her glossy ventral scales shine like pure polished gold.  Fine golden catlike whiskers bristle on her squarish snout and high-ridged brows.  Her undersized wings and oversized ear-fins shade from gold to metallic purple.  She wears a rumpled black apron and an assortment of mismatched golden jewelry.  She smiles warmly. "Ah... a visitor.  Welcome to the bookstore!  I'm Mara-Tenga Glassgold, the manager.  And cashier.  And stocker.  And owner, actually." She smiles, flicking her tail. "Come to browse?  We have books from a number of eras, civilizations, worlds, and dimensions.  What's your fancy today, hm?  Faerie poetry?  Old Veronitian epics?  Gigachromatic painting books?"  She pats the books on the cart beside her with a golden-nailed, pawlike hand. "Just got the latest Wizard and Whizzer book in, Murder by Mirth.  Much better than Death on a Dare, if you ask me."

"Um..." you say, overwhelmed.  The whiskers on her snout quiver as Mara-Tenga peers up at you with deep golden-yellow eyes, sniffing.  She blinks, shaking her head.

"Oh - a visitor visitor," she says. "So sorry.  Let's see... where are you from...?" As you try to answer, she slowly walks around you, tail and whiskers flicking, ear-fins cocked.  Brow furrowing, she sniffs again, flicking a slender purple tongue out as if tasting the air, then nods slowly. "Interesting.  Haven't had someone from your neck of the woods for quite a while.  Well, I don't suppose you'd be interested in most of these... probably couldn't read them, even if you were.  Your species only sees three primary colors, don't you?" She looks up at you curiously, then turns around, gesturing you to follow as she leads you over to another shelf.  Whiskers flared, she scans a shelf full of leather-bound books.  At last, with a smile, she pulls one from the shelf.  "Books from your world aren't in that big a demand, so we keep them elsewhere... just outside our reality, actually.  Saves storage space, you see." You blink, somewhat surprised that here, in a fantastic world, talking to a dragon-lady, you can still be surprised by anything. "We have a small selection, rotated on a fairly regular basis so things don't get too stale.  The rest are over at our Zakotansett affilliate, Brightdreamer Books & More - there's a link below the books if you want to take a look over there.  If you need anything else, let me know!" So saying, she turns back to the book cart, humming idly as she stocks the shelves.  It seems fairly straightforward.

Disney both mocks and celebrates its animated past in the story of fair Giselle, a girl in the animated land of Andalasia, who finds herself lost and alone in New York City when the evil sorceress Queen Narissa pushes her into a magic well.  As she waits for her Prince Charming to rescue her (her fiance of all of a day, Narissa's stepson Edward), she comes to realize that there's more to love than shared duets and True Love's Kiss... and that, sometimes, dreams may not come true. (This is the Widescreen edition; also available in Fullscreen and in Blu-Ray.) Folkmanis brings us yet another wonderful fantasy puppet: a griffin.  Recommended for anyone of any age who likes griffins.
