A Whack on the Side of the Head
Roger Van Oech
MJF Books
Nonfiction, Creativity
****

DESCRIPTION: Many people work themselves into a rut of conventional thinking, a rut that can blind them to better solutions to the problems they face. This book, written by a professional creativity consultant, is a lesson in how to think "outside the box."

REVIEW: We all could use a whack on the side of the head every so often. This book can provide it. It's more useful when you have a specific problem facing you, most likely, but it was still an interesting to see just how we have been programmed to look at the world in specific ways, and how limiting those views can be.
