Simon & Schuster's Guide To Cats
DESCRIPTION: A picture guide to domestic cat breeds, with notes on temperament and care.
REVIEW: This is the worst cat guide I have ever read. Among other things, it states that roughly half of all domestic cat breeds cannot adapt to indoor life. This is an outdated attitude, that cats "need" to be outdoors, and I was amazed and appalled to see this lie repeated in a modern cat book. The lousy pictures show sub-standard examples of a few breeds. What valid information it has can be found in other, better cat guides. Do not trust Simon & Schuster's assessments of domestic animals.
