DESCRIPTION: In the land of Coronnan, the source of magic is dragons. Elusive, invisible, they are also swiftly becoming extinct. As the traditional methods of magic fail, the kingdom is ripe for invasion, especially since Prince Darville has gone missing. Jaylor, a young magician with unpredictable rogue powers, is sent to discover the cause of the dragons' decline. On the way, he finds the witchwoman Brevelan, her faithful wolf companion, and a great knot of treachery and evil set on destroying the magnificent dragons and the magic they bring to the realm.
REVIEW: This had promise, but didn't quite go far enough to entice me to read the next volume. It falls prey to excessive sex (comments about which grace virtually every page - I'm sure you think I'm exaggerating) and plenty of rambling. The dragons themselves were underutilized, in my opinion, and the characters never really came to life for me. This is another series that can go on without me.
