Eyewitness Books: Mythology
Neil Philip
Dorling Kindersley
Nonfiction, YA Mythology
*****

DESCRIPTION: The popular Eyewitness series of books covers world mythology, from ancient times to modern manifestations.

REVIEW: As is typical for the series, the main draw is the many colorful pictures, but - also true to the series - the text actually has some useful and informative tidbits, as well. Given the fact that global mythos cannot be covered in a manner remotely adequate in this format, and given the target age of the Eyewitness books, I gave it top marks as a spark for further research.

You might also enjoy:

The Percy Jackson & the Olympians series (Rick Riordan, YA Fiction - A modern boy learns that Olympian gods and monsters still exist)
