DESCRIPTION: "A magic 3-dimensional world of dragons," this book features many-layered images illustrating the text.

REVIEW: If the description confuses you, I can only say that this isn't quite a pop-up book; rather, it uses layers of cut-out images to create a three-dimensional effect when a given page is opened. The dragons are bright and well crafted, and the text, if simple, certainly will spark the imagination of anyone old enough to enjoy the pictures, whether they are reading the book themselves or having it read to them. It's a fast read, but a pretty one, and at ten bucks is cheaper than many true pop-up books I've seen. (It's also somewhat less prone to destruction with rereadings, as the images don't move much or stick out of the book.)
