DESCRIPTION: Prince Langilor and the forest dragon Saras were born on the same night, bound by the same destiny. The human prince grows up in the royal gardens, peacefully playing his flute for the animals and ignoring the grumbling castle advisors who want him to learn the arts of war. Saras, on the other hand, grows up with great ambitions and a haughty attitude, becoming the first of his kind to fly and breathe fire in thousands of years, cast out from dragonkind for his destructive rage. When the peaceable boy prince meets the furious dragon, the fates of both species will be decided.
REVIEW: Bergsma's enchanting watercolor images really bring this charming tale to life. The story may be a bit simple, but it plays as a subplot to the pictures anyway. A marvelous treat for fantasy-lovers and dracophiles of all ages!
